FORAGED + GROWN: FLORAL STILL LIFE INSTALLATION
AN OBSERVATIONAL OPEN STUDIO SERIESMilisa Moses is a gardener and artist living on the outer Cape. She works with plants, sun, and light to create art and art-making materials: cameraless photograms using coffee and salt to develop images, pigments for painting rendered from flowers, jet-black ink made from fallen oak galls. Part alchemy, part accident, she uses these natural materials in an effort to pare down her practice to its essence.
Milisa has taught at The Museum School at the Provincetown Art Association, Castle Hill in Truro, and out of her former shop/studio space, Plant Work Shop in Orleans. She has been invited to Remodelista Market New York and Boston, and her work as a maker has been featured in Gardenista, Design New England Magazine, Edible Cape Cod Magazine, and the Provincetown Independent.
